1st – 3rd May | Title Sponsored Bluegrass Horse Feeds

We are looking forward to welcoming competitors and spectators to Portmore Equestrian Centre this weekend for our Spring Championship Show, running from Friday 1st May through to Sunday 3rd May. With three full days of competition, championship titles up for grabs and the opening round of the Fraser Homes Ulster GP Summer Series, it promises to be a fantastic weekend of sport.

With a favourable forecast ahead and arena preparation underway, our team is working hard to ensure first-class conditions for competitors over head and under foot in the Bluegrass Outdoor Arena across every class as the outdoor season gathers momentum.

Friday – Building to the Bluegrass Mini Grand Prix

Friday’s schedule features classes at 90cm, 1m, 1.10m, 1.20m, culminating in the 1.25m Bluegrass Mini Grand Prix.

The day offers a progressive build through the heights, while the feature Mini Grand Prix will provide an exciting finish as combinations look to make an early statement for the weekend ahead.

Saturday – Championship Day

Saturday sees championship honours decided across multiple levels:

• 90cm Two-Phase
• 1m Championship
• 1.10m Championship
• 1.20m Championship
• Bluegrass 1.30m Grand Prix with £500 prize fund

Championship day always brings a special atmosphere, with riders competing not only for prize money but for titles at one of the key early-season fixtures. The Bluegrass 1.30m Grand Prix is set to be an exciting highlight of the weekend!

Sunday – Fraser Homes Ulster GP Series Gets Underway

On Sunday we are delighted to host the opening round of the Fraser Homes GP Ulster Series, which will continue at venues across Ulster throughout the summer.

The schedule includes:

• 90cm class (including Sportsman’s League)
• 1m class (including Amateur A League)
• 1.10m class (including Amateur AA League)
• 1.20m Ulster League class
• 1.30m Ulster GP League class with a £1,000 prize fund

As the first opportunity to earn valuable league points, we look forward to strong entries across all divisions.
